SM101 Intro

I hear from so many friends and acquaintances who have sewing machines but don’t know how to use them! If you fit in that category, you have an amazing tool at your disposal. I can’t wait for you to take this course, conquer any fears you may have about your machine, and unleash your creative potential! Once you know the basics, it’s just a matter of practice.

Class Project

As a part of this class we will be making a tote bag to apply what we’ve learned! Here is the supply list:

1. At least 2 pieces of paper to make a pattern (more depending on desired size)
2. Scotch Tape
3. Pen/Pencil
4. 1/2 yd – 1 yard Main fabric, depending on desired size of bag
5. 1/2 yd – 1 yard Lining fabric, depending on desired size of bag
6. 1-2 yards nylon or cotton strapping/webbing for the straps, depending on desired length
7. All Purpose Thread to match your fabrics
8. Straight Pins
9. Scissors
